Playing the game
Is Snake 3D: WarpStrike free to play?
Yes. The browser game can be played without buying the game or creating an account.
What happens when I click Play Game?
The site opens the dedicated game page, which contains the current full arena, controls, audio options and high-score panel. The information homepage remains separate so players can learn the rules before starting.
Can I play on a phone or tablet?
Yes. The game detects touch-capable devices and provides steering, warp-direction and fire controls. The surrounding pages also adapt to portrait and landscape orientations.
Can I play with a keyboard?
Yes. Arrow keys steer by default, WASD directs a portal exit, Space starts or fires, and C swaps the steering and warp key sets.
Does the game have multiplayer?
No. The current playable version is a single-player score challenge. Multiplayer arenas have been discussed as a possible future project, but they are not presented as an existing feature.
Rules and scoring
What ends a run?
A run ends when the snake collides with a wall, obstacle, enemy ship, or its own body.
How are points earned?
A red energy orb is worth one point, a destroyed enemy ship is worth five, and an enemy destroyed before reaching its selected cell is worth seven.
Can points be lost?
Yes. Shooting a red orb costs one point. Shooting the snake’s own green body costs two points.
Do black holes award points?
No. Successful warps are counted separately. They can still matter when leaderboard results need a later tie-break.
How much ammunition can I carry?
The weapon grants six shots. After it has been collected, eating a red orb restores two shots, capped at six.
Leaderboard and privacy
Do I need an account to save a score?
No. A qualifying score can be submitted with a display name and country flag. Players should use a nickname and avoid entering contact details.
How is the leaderboard ordered?
Records are ranked by points, then shorter time, enemy kills, warps and earliest achievement. Filters are available for all-time, today, weekly and monthly results.
Does the score record my device?
New submissions include coarse device and browser information for internal compatibility and diagnostic work. It is not currently displayed on the public leaderboard. Full details are in the Privacy Policy.
Is the time stored more accurately than it is displayed?
The interface presents elapsed time to one tenth of a second, matching the competitive timing shown to players.
Technical questions
Which browsers are supported?
A current version of Safari, Chrome, Edge or Firefox is recommended. WebGL, JavaScript and audio support should be enabled.
Why might sound wait until I interact?
Mobile browsers commonly prevent audio from starting automatically. Touching a control or starting the game gives the browser the interaction it requires.
Does the page work in both orientations?
Yes. Content reflows for portrait and landscape. On very short landscape screens, the header and opening section become more compact.
